N.B. Artist Bio Norris Bennett, known in the game as N.B, was born in Douglas, GA raised on Southern grit and a relentless hunger to be heard. Growing up in a military family, N.B moved constantly, soaking up different cultures, environments, and sounds that would eventually shape one of the most versatile independent artists in the game today. Now based in Minneapolis, MN, he brings that cold-state energy with a warm soul and he’s just getting started. From as early as age four, N.B was front and center singing for family, performing for neighbors, commanding any room that would have him. Music wasn’t a hobby. It was a calling. By 2006, he made it official, leaving his job to pursue music full time and never looking back. His sound pulls from the best T.I, Ludacris, R. Kelly, Musiq Soulchild, T-Pain, Usher but N.B has always been something different. Melodic rap. Trap soul. Double-time flows over bouncy 808s. Soulful hooks that hit harder than they should. He doesn’t fit in a box, and that’s exactly the point. In 2010, N.B relocated to Florida, a move that accelerated everything. He hit stages in Orlando, Daytona, and across the state. He landed radio and magazine interviews, dropped mixtapes, and made his acting debut on TruTV’s South Beach Tow (Season 3, Episodes 16–18. From there, the credits kept stacking a role on HBO’s Ballers alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a spot in Alvin and the Chipmunks 4, and appearances in web series produced by Comedy Flo Entertainment. He also locked in a co-publishing deal with Kicksta Muzik Publishing (BMI), positioning his catalog for film and television placement opportunities because N.B isn’t just making music, he’s building a legacy. Under his independent label, NBDG Music Group, N.B owns his masters, controls his vision, and moves on his own terms. No major label. No compromise. Just authentic artistry built from the ground up from South Georgia to Florida to the streets of Minneapolis.
